WORLD CULTURE NIGHT What is World Culture Night? This event is a fun celebration of the cultures and places that represent our diverse community. LHE families are invited to share elements of their culture or ethnicity with other members of the community through storytelling, food, dance, arts and other things that make cultures unique. Your family can participate with a table, performance, or just come as a guest and have fun. Free pizza dinner will be served. When: Thursday, December 7 (6pm-7:30pm) Where: Lake Hills Elementary School Gym/Cafe Sign-up either on-line -OR- via paper form to host a table or perform before Monday, December 4th. We also need some volunteers to help with set-up, serving dinner, coordinating performances and clean-up. Please sign up here! MATH KANGAROO REGISTRATION OPEN
THROUGH DECEMBER! Math Kangaroo is a fun individual math competition. This year, the competition will take place at Woodridge Elementary School on the evening of Thursday, March 21 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM. (Check-in begins at 6:30). Registration fee: $21 (until Dec 15) Late Registration fee: $35 (Dec 15th -Dec 31) Each participant will receive a T-Shirt and a small gift! The Golden Acorn Award is a very prestigious WA State PTA award that is given out by local PTAs/PTSAs for exemplary and outstanding volunteerism and service. Honorees that receive this award, have volunteer experience at the local PTA level, in the community, and at the school and/or school district level.
