For health and safety reasons, LHE's school picture day is tentatively scheduled to occur during the first part of the second semester (January-February 2022) when we hope our elementary school aged students will be fully vaccinated and our Bellevue Virtual Academy students will be able to return to in-person learning.
COVID-19 TESTING IN BSD
In the upcoming weeks, the Bellevue School District will begin offering COVID-19 screening and diagnostic testing at our schools. Doing so will allow us to more rapidly determine infections in our buildings and take a proactive approach to minimizing potential outbreaks. Testing will be optional, but highly encouraged as we work to keep our students, staff and BSD community safe. District administration is currently in the process of finalizing the procedures, permission requirements for testing, and other details, which will be shared as they are available.
More information on diagnostic testing and screening testing can be found on our COVID-19 Testing in Bellevue School District webpage and will be updated as more details become available.
Please contact Heather Edlund, Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, at firstname.lastname@example.org
if you have any questions about COVID-19 testing in our schools, or visit the district COVID-19 Health and Safety webpage for more information about our current health and safety measures.
Cash donations accepted at pick-up too!

Please visit the LHE PTSA's resource page for families. The page lists links to websites, articles, apps, books and more to help our students during this extraordinary time.
"If the plan doesn't work, change the plan, but never the goal." -Eleanor Roosevelt
As we enter into an unprecedented new school year-whether in person, virtual, homeschool or a hybrid of these-remember how far we have come; how much more we have learned; how we have changed to become a better teacher, parent and support system for our kids, despite how our world has changed; the value of the little things; how much more we appreciate our teachers and school staff for the amazing things they do every day for our kids; how resilient we all are.
"Often, when you think you're at the end of something, you're at the beginning of something else." -Fred Rogers
Thanks to some of our seasoned and new PTSA members who are helping make LHE awesome:
Hector McCormick, Brenda Mandujano & Devon Detbrenner, our superstar Yearbook team leaders, who designed and created our 2019-2020 yearbook, despite all the hardships of Covid-19!
Stephanie Gurbuz, who with a huge heart, helped our amazing teachers and staff kick off the 2019 calendar year in the staff lounge!
Pranitha Kondam, Millie Poulsen, Peter Henderson & Yazmin Marines, our tireless and devoted weekly Kid Mail volunteers!
Alice Ko, for stepping in and taking on the PTSA E-Newsletter!
Candice Mabbitt, who single-handedly made the 2019 year's Spirit Wear happen!
